The city centre itself is filled with excellent shopping, fantastic restaurants and numerous bars. Rosenborg Slot with its Royal Jewels and Slotsholmen’s beautiful ornate architecture both make for enjoyable short visits.The National Museum has an incredible collection of ancient artefacts from the Palaeolithic period onwards and makes for an engrossing day out. Many tourists trek off to see the Little Mermaid, but be warned - rarely has a national symbol been so disappointing!
